Those who, like Franz Kaminski Waggonbau GmbH, have been among the leading companies in the field of maintenance of railway, tank, and freight wagons for decades require the well-developed and content-rich resource of knowledge.
Precisely trained specialists with profound expertise have always been considered highly important and particularly valuable to us for this reason.
Our region, the Weser Uplands on the Upper Weser in southern Lower Saxony, is home to numerous education-minded people. Many of them complete their studies at HSW, the University of Applied Sciences Weserbergland. In addition to dual and part-time bachelor’s and master’s programs, HSW is also intensively involved in research and development.
Our Managing Director, Karsten Elstner, recognized remarkable synergies and therefore initiated a partnership with the university. Students now have the opportunity to complete a dual study program directly in Hamelin, both at the university and in wagon construction.
As a regional employer, the Franz Kaminski Group thus offers training in immediate proximity and additionally the chance of employment within the company. For the students, this means, among other things, being able to remain residentially tied to their hometown without having to worry about seeking a new home after their dual studies.
In the future, Franz Kaminski Waggonbau will continue to focus on knowledge transfer, workshops appreciated in professional circles, and the training of skilled workers.
